Full Session vs. Mini Session: What's the difference

Full Sessions

Full sessions give families more time during their scheduled appointment. Meaning, you will experience a more relaxed session. Full sessions allow client to have breaks in between outfit and set changed. Parents with rambunctious children don’t feel rushed and children who are on the shy side get time to warm up. The longer session can be your best friend.

Full photo sessions can range from 1-2 hours with breaks and include many more photos with more variety in your gallery which gives you more options to choose from

Location & time are at the discretion of the client. Maybe there’s a spot that’s incredibly special to your family, or a location that you think is absolutely gorgeous and have been dying to get pictures taken in. You get to choose where your session takes place!

Mini Sessions

One main difference is mini-session length. Mini-sessions are typically 20-30 minutes long without any breaks. Because mini-sessions are so short and sweet, the photographer is often working faster with you and your kids to get the images needed for your gallery. The main purpose of a mini-session is to get a quick set of updated photos of the family, perfect for holiday cards and photo gifts for your loved ones. My mini session are seasonal & themed based, meaning they will often have a specific set up or props depending on time of year.

Because mini-sessions are a shorter length of time and offer less photos to choose from in your gallery, the session investment is typically less than that of a full custom session.

Mini-session locations are normally selected by the photographer. Mini session are only available for specific dates and must be conducted within the noted time.
